Why we like it
The sturdy proportions, superb quality, great choice of veneers. The top drawer fitted with various lidded compartments and a sliding easel mirror.
Such simple and practical pieces intended for everyday use and 'done in a neat but not an expensive manner', to the same high quality standards as the more sophisticated examples, consisted a significant part of Thomas Chippendale's oeuvre.
Condition
Pleasing colour, drawers run smoothly, area of retouching around the top drawer escutcheon.
